Aug 20. Rosneft's affiliate Neft Aktiv is prepared to withdraw its claims against grid companies, a source familiar with the situation said. The first signal about it was newswires that Kubanenergo, MRSK South and Neft Aktiv could enter into an amicable agreement. The proceedings were held on Tuesday and the defendant's representatives voiced their intention to enter into an amicable agreement. According to the source, Neft Aktiv no longer opposes consolidation of Kubanenergo into MRSK South. The amicable agreement will be a form to settle legal claims, the source added. Similar decisions are being negotiated in relation to another three power grids which Neft Aktiv sued – Kuban Trunk Grids, Tomsk Trunk Grids and Tomsk Distribution Company. No payments to Neft Aktiv are provided under amicable agreements, the source noted.
