Aug 21. The largest Russian independent gas producer Novatek projects gas output to rise at least 20%, the company's CFO Mark Guetvay said. He also noted that gas output in 2010 is expected to advance 10%. Earlier growth was expected at 9%. "We reiterate our production guidance for 2008 at around 10% for natural gas and liquid hydrocarbons and our production growth target for 2009 is 20%", the company's CFO said. Novatek also ramped up gas output in 2Q 2008 by 210 mn cu m or 2.9% to 7.5 bcm and liquid hydrocarbons, including gas condensate and oil, by 10,000 tons or 1.7% to 603,000 tons on 2Q 2008. "Our target is to reach daily output of around 100 mn cu m. This will be a new milestone for Novatek", Mr. Guetvay added.
