Aug 22. Norilsk Nickel has appointed Yury Oleinikov deputy general director and head of the metal major's federal and regional programs unit, Norilsk Nickel said in a press release. From 2005 to 2008 Oleinikov worked as deputy head of the Central Executive Committee of mainstream political party United Russia in charge of regional policy. From 1996 to 2001 Oleinikov worked at Norilsk Nickel. At the metal major he will oversee relations with governmental bodies and public organizations, including to represent Norilsk Nickel's interests at the state level, work out proposals and execute the company's strategic development projects in Russian regions, coordinate activities carried out by business units when preparing proposals aimed at improving the effective laws and many other issues.
